The international Jean Michel Jarre tribute album "Jarre Forever" was conceived in the summer of 1998 and released on September 7th, 2002. Every aspect of the album, from conceptual development to artwork, distribution, financing, promotion and recording has been organized and executed by fans of the French electronic music pioneer.

The company which is formally behind the project is Hyperion Media, a consultancy agency that develops projects within media, internet, arts and culture. But the driving force behind the idea and it's development has been the Norwegian Jarre fan club in association with a large number of individual Jarre fans.

When you buy a copy of "Jarre Forever", you support charity organisations that Jean Michel Jarre also supports. Whenever there is a profit, 70% will be donated to Elpida, for which Jarre performed benefit concerts in 2001. Elpida is a Greek organisation devoted to helping children with cancer. The remaining 30% will be donated to UNESCO's youth programmes. Jarre was appointed UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador for Youth and Tolerance in 1993, and performed a concert in Paris in 1995 to promote the idea of tolerance. The organizers or the artists involved in "Jarre Forever" receives no profit from the sales (although expenses are covered).

Hyperion Media would like to thank the following people, whose assistance has been invaluable: Nathalie Gallois, Harald Lervik, Christophe Ketels, Bjørn Torkel Dahl, Skytracker, Dave Freeman, Koen Vervoort, Victoria Ludvigsen, DJ Davion, Lars Meldal, Ros, Espen at Unidisc, Jakob Smith, Julien Alexandre, Sergio Sobarzo, and Jesper Andsbjerg for their help and support. A special thanks goes to Jean-Michel Jarre for enriching our lives and for giving us his thumbs up to record Palawan.
